Moving to a new home we have been buying things make it comfortable. Some of what we are buying is to replace things we didn't feel like were worth moving. Our spending habits are so drastically changed that our credit card got locked because it looked like someone had stolen our identity with all this spending. And the fresh fruit here is really amazing.
I was given a toast master belgian waffle maker by a friend who didn't want it. I liked having two for cooking a lot of food fast. Having left the less fast one behind, I contemplated what fancy waffle iron I would buy. After way too much consideration I decided that I would like another toast master and planned to just look for it at a thrift store. We didn't find it at the first thrift store we went to, of course. But the second thrift store had one waffle iron, and it was a perfectly clean toast master belgian waffle iron. It was so pristine I worried that it probably didn't work, but for <$10 we gave it a try. It works great.
I feel blessed in my efforts to be thrifty.
Some of the items we have bought are way nice, like a wash sink with drain. Some are replacements for broken down things, like the shoe shelf that is a bench! P installed party lights on the back porch. It looks even more magical with the foliage over the porch. So beautiful.
