Road Trip April 2023

 We loaded all the bikes and kayaks onto the trailer late Wednesday night.  Crazy early Thursday I took G to school to fly out with the team.  I came home and got a few more things ready for our trip.  At 5am we took the trailer to Gtowne and then headed north to Alabama.  Our realtor there showed us some houses and P went to a job fair.  We stayed in a hotel there and then looked at more houses in the morning.  

We drove to DC and stayed with my dad.  P replaced the dishwasher that hasn't really worked for 10 years and completely stopped working 2 months ago.  My dad really likes to have P fix things for him.  

We went up to the college and hung out with G and experienced the cafeteria.  We went to the deaf branch and drove around DC a lot.  In some ways it was a hectic visit, but it was very relaxed in other ways.  After the awards ceremony Sunday night, we drove (P drove) home.

Next round of signatures

 The buyers wanted a large credit for repairs.  We countered with a smaller credit and some repairs we could do with existing contractors.  Everyone signed off and the next round of signatures will be the closing documents in 2 weeks!  Ack!

And of course that was the same day as lP's concert, G's play, and that the perfect house we could afford comes up in the place we hope to move to.

P got his applications submitted for that school district.  We will drive up in 1 week on our way to see G's national Academic Bowl competition.  Busy times!

We found a beach condo to rent for May.  Lucky kids!  We'll have access to a pool and beach.  We rented a storage unit for 2 months and are already moving things over.
